Scratch Improvement:
- Place a piece of masking tape either side of the scratch.
- Using a very thin touch up brush, touch up the scratch one coat at a time, leaving at least ten minutes between coats to allow for the paint to dry properly. By doing this you will be filling the scratch with colour.
- Once you've filled the scratch, remove the tape and carefully polish the area.
7/10 - Scratch still visible but improved, helps prevent rust.

Bird Dropping Removal:
- Place a warm damp cloth over the bird droppings and leave for aproximately ten minutes. The damp cloth lifts the droppings making it simply easier to wipe the damage away
- Once wiped clean carefully polish area.
9/10 - Works great on bird droppings that are not very old. If left too long, they may damage the paintwork and need machine polishing or re-painting.
Reduce Smears when Polishing:
Always polish the panels horizontally! When you polish paint work you can leave very light scratches. These scratches may not be visible at first but in direct sunlight they will stand out.
By polishing horizontally, any scratches you may put in the panel will all face the same way, making them barely visible to the naked eye.
8/10 - This process takes a bit longer, but works better on newer paint.

When removing polish first use a clean cloth to remove the majority of the polish, then use a Microfibre cloth.
These amazing cloths are made from an 80/20% blend of Polyester and Polyamide. They are very soft, removing all smears, water and polish left on a panel and are more absorbent than a chamois leather. Microfibre cloths are highly recommended in the refinishing/valeting industry.
10/10 - Great design which you can use anywhere - car or home. Available at www.valetshop.co.uk
Tar Removal:
Tar, dirt and grime can build up on low down areas like the bottom of doors, sills and bumpers, etc. These deposits are normally thrown up from the road whilst driving and are very hard to remove by simple washing They can also help rust and make the car appear older and dirtier than it is.
The best way is to wash the areas first to remove any lose dirt, following with a degreaser or a product like Halfords Naturals Bug and Tar Remover (available at www.halfords.com) to soften and remove ground in dirt, then polish or rewash the cleaned area.
8/10 - Works well as you don’t realise how dirty the areas are until you clean them!
